Tools you will need: Steps:
  • Replacement battery (Type CR1616)
  • Small flathead screwdriver
  1. Using the small flathead screwdriver, gently twist and pry open the key fob
  2. Locate the battery compartment and carefully remove the old battery
  3. Insert the replacement battery in the same position as the old battery, with the positive (+) side facing up
  4. Close the key fob cover and make sure it snaps securely in place
  5. Your key fob should now be working again! Test it out to confirm.

It is important to note that if your key fob continues to not work even after replacing the battery, there may be other issues at play. In this case, it is recommended to bring your key fob to a certified Honda dealership for further assistance.
